Anybody try Yokohama AVS db tires???
#2
I have the Yokohama AVS S4v tires that were replaced by the db tire due to complaints about them....
being too loud. For a balance of an all-season and ultra-high performance, it is a great tire, except that I have ~27k miles on them and they're down to 2mm of tread left. They do come with a 40k mile warranty so I'm getting some $$ for a new set. I have contemplated the db's or going with the Dunlop SP 5000 Asymmetric (see link below).
Yok's AVS S4v
Dry: excellent, until heated up, then mushy in hard turns
Wet: good-excellent
snow: good
HTH!

PaJohn bought Yokohama AVS db tires. I think he liked them; until he drove in the snow.
I recall that he said they were terrible in the snow.
I think he had gotten 235/45-17 size, and he had just a little bit of rubbing in one or both of the back tires, but only in turns; or something like that.
