In this pic, I don't have stealth bulbs yet, but from this angle it's harder to tell. I definitely think it looks better than with the orange in there.

Anyone else think the amber gives it a less "rice" look on silver?

Default On A6s, we use a heat gun...

to soften the glue holding the lens in place. With a little bit of heat applied all the way around the lens, you can "peel" the lens off. Then you just pop the amber piece out, warm up the glue, and stick it back together. Works great - no scratches and no leaks.

Anybody use this method on the S4s?

Default not bad make sure to get tabs off completely - silver paint on bulbs - aluminum tape hides holes

first side is trickier than second - i found that grinding out tabs may be easier then drilling but its okay either way so long as you get rib of tab. O/w it can be harder to get out reflector.

This is a great DIY and the first i did.

oh yes use high heat silver paint no flaking.

Default yup i did it, just takes patience, dont rush it or you'll be sad. though you'll have those nasty

holes left over from the tabs, only thing that bugs me

I think Euros on silver look amazing. Maybe I'm biased though.

Default Whoa whoa whoa, rice?!? How does the car's color make the same mod any more "rice"?

There's nothing ricey about clear corners. Look at BMW.

Default Some guy did that to put in angel eyes. I've never heard of anyone doing this for CC's tho.

I think the heat method would be a little more risky and possibly more difficult.
