Anyone else had gas gauge problems? Mine just knackered out at 6600miles!

I've had my car two weeks and it always reads full...
I've put 750 miles on the car, and the gas gauge hasn't budged. If only I really got that kind of gas mileage.
I'm going to wait a few more fillups before taking mine in to have the service department look at it.
Has anybody else had this problem? I've already tried switching brands of gasoline, as was suggested in some previous postings.
