mine seems to work great at night or overcast days, but on sunny days, it dims out parts of the letters and numbers. it's not a glare issue, as each individual character can appear "blotchy" - some parts bright and some dim, and the horizontal lines maintain a consistently bright appearance.

but make sure its not your polarized sunglasses..

If you take your glasses and rotate them, you can actually "blank" the screen (this occurs with the radio also)... If the polarizer of you glasses is perpendicular to the cluster it will appear blank...

same here... pixels dimming out, i get a cross right in the center. so annoying...
