Anyone ever remove the small grilles in the fascia?

Anyone ever remove the small grilles in the fascia?
I'm "converting" another pair to look like the RS4 bumper grilles so I can put in some BIG lights (still not decided on the type), but am having trouble getting the stock units off.
I am able to release the inner sides (towards the middle of the car), but can't seem to undo the side where the foglight is. Is there any tabs I'm missing?
