anyone experience a heavy thunk while accelerating?
i thought it was perhaps the engine mount, so i replaced w/an AMS Polymount. no dice. i also have a tranny stabilizer bar as well. this is different from the "thunk" that you get when shifting gears (this thunk happens while in the same gear).
for example:
you're accelerating brisky (not WOT) to get ahead of another car in the next lane over (eg. 60->75), and then lift to slow down because there is a car in front. then you get back on the accelerator to maintain the speed in the faster lane. when i get back on the accelerator, i get a noticable "thunk" from the car. could it be another engine mount? clutch? i'm especially interested if anyone's had the same problem and had the dealer rectify it.
i can always reproduce it doing a brisk acceleration followed by a lift of the gas pedal, and then accelerating again.
thanks in advance for any advice!

Huh? What diff locks? You guys have EDL...(more)
That means your brakes are your "diff locks". Do your brakes "thunk" any other time? Now, I'm not saying it couldn't be a normal sound, but I think it very unlikely. You might look around under there. Specifically, you might want to look at the rear diff mount, tranny mounts, heck, even motor mounts. It could be the exhaust hitting something, too.

is it much more noticeable now then before? maybe the torsen is showing signs of some wear and tear
as in some play. The slight but non frequent thug from coast to power was always normal in my book because of the torsen switching around
