Default Anyone had this happen to their tires?...

Look at where the tread meets the sidewall. This is one of my Toyo T1S (225/40R18) that I recently pulled off the car to rotate. I'm going to discard it and get new tires. What do you think caused this? I've seen it before on a previous set of tires. S4Lynx also had this. I've got coilovers set at 25.25". Wouldn't rubbing cause wear all the way around the tire and not just in one location (as it did here)?

The sidewall is too thin. You're running 18's or larger right??

Same thing happened to me. Alignment was fine. Just got my T1R's hope they don't do the same.

I would say stretched 225's on a 8.5 width rim (?) and possible alignment issue. (too much camber?)

maybe 18's X 8.5? Get smaller rims so tires have more sidewall...

Default I rotated mine before they got to that point--

but I have narrow (7.5") rims... Lowering an S4 (without getting adjustable control arms) gives you negative camber up front, plus stretching the tire = rapid inside tread wear.

Default after I bent a wheel that happened on the impacted corner

I figured it fuxxored my alignment and I needed a new setup. I never got the specs from the dealer, but the issue went away for good.
