Anyone have stock bumpers replaced?
Long time lurker, first time caller...
Long story short - got rear ended, got it a replacement bumper. Body shop got the bumper from the closest Audi dealer (won't ever go to them again, but another story). Go to pick up the car this mornign to find the top corners of the bumper hanging out beyond the edges of the quarter panels.
Turns out the bumper rides on clips - no bolts to adjust or change. Body shop - 1st, I don't see a problem, eventually, well, that's the way the bumper came from Audi. Started to make excuses for it being an injection molded piece, blah, blah. I understand injection molding and that the molds deteriorate over time.
I'm going back to Audi on this piece (even though the body shop should be), but I wanted to check if anyone else has experienced the same issue.
I've examined plenty of A/S4s, and I haven't seen any of them with this kind of "line" problem. Any thoughts or comments about (un)successful replacements would be appreciated greatly.

I had the same situation...
my bumper does the same thing, well, kinda. If anything, my qauterpanels overhang the corners of the bumper (oppostie of what you're experiencing). It overhangs by maybe a 1/4 of an inch.
To be honest, I'm not sure if my original bumper did the same or not.

I had the same situation... too
my front bumper and front qauter panels were repaired. The front bumper sticks out slightly past the panel. I went round and round with the auto body shop and they were never able to fix it.
Now I finally am about to replace my front bumper cover and my new one does the same thing. I think it's the slides that hold the bumper but I'm still not completely sure. I'm not sure if this helps you any with your rear bumper.
