Default anyone have a thrust ring laying around?

It's for the front drive axle, outer joint. The top one is the concave washer. The bottom black plastic piece is the thrust ring.. the piece I can't find. It's a long story that goes back to a post of mine back on 12/10/2005.

If you drive without these two pieces installed for around 15 months.. the axle can slide into the cv joint slightly farther and allow the smaller cv boot clamp crimp to wear a small hole in the boot.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2198084.phtml

Default Wow its funny you posted this, I just got my outer CV kit from PureMS and this was in it

had no clue what it was for haha. Their kit is 12$ and supplies one of these if you really end up having a hard time finding one.

Default Axle moves all over, side to side without one of those installed...

I purchased a MK2 GTI that Ive been goofin with and the previous owner forgot to put the thrust washer in when he replaced the CV. I could grab the axle from under the car and wiggle it side to side. The symptom it caused while driving was that when I let off the gas on the highway, the car would jerk to one direction really bad. I have since replaced the thrust washer and its toight like a tiger. Im pretty sure I have one from my S4 laying around...lemme check when I get home and I will drop it in the mail if I do.
