Anyone have this type of V1 False alarm?
Driving home tonight in heavy stop and go traffic, my V1 kept going ballistic, showing full-strength laser straight ahead. I was following a new Chevy Trailblazer that had (stock) round "jeweled" stop lamps. I swear the V1 was reacting to almost every time the driver hit their brakes.
Is it possible that the light from the stop lamps was being focused just right to signal the detector? The lights were right about even with my V1, which is up next to the rear-view mirror.
I've had the Valentine for close to a year and never experienced anything like this (in fact, minimal false alarms) - - I followed that guy for ten minutes of off-and-on beeping. I thought maybe a reverse-sensing system gone amuck, but no sensors on the bumper. Also no cop cars around that I saw.

Or rubbing the rear laser antenna with your finger....
sets off the laser warning too. This is only with the older models with the bigger unit and a separate rear facing laser antenna. Weird, rub it with your finger and it goes off.
