Default Be aware that Koni uses the same setup for A4 and S4...

so there is not a noticeable increase in spring rate for the S4. All you will do is lower the car a bit.

Default So you can get a really uncomfortable ride without any performance benefit?

Sorry, but when I called Koni about the coilover kit, their tech essentially told me I would be wasting money buying it for an S4.

No perf benefit? soften the fronts, stiffen the rears no benefit? put the crack pipe down!

Default The crack pipe is down Einstein.

Don't mistake witty repartee for knowing what you are talking about. There is no (and I repeat for those who are lacking the attention span to read the post :NO) difference in spring rates between the stock S4 springs and the Koni springs. Call Koni USA if you like. I did.

Plus, softening the fronts is the worst thing you can do in an already nose heavy car (can you say brake dive?) The car is already squirrly under heavy braking and even if the springs stiffened up the rear (which they don't) without an increase in the front, handling would suffer. Why do you think that all aftermarket manufacturers increase front spring rate along with the rear (with the exception of Eibach who actually go to a softer spring in the rear)?

As Steve S said, caveat emptor. Do your homework next time, because you could end up helping someone else spend money needlessly.
