What's the best method of removing that part of the side molding? How difficult is it to remove it and get it back on there without scratching anything?

Thanks for your help.

It's stuck to the car via 3M-type double-sided adhesive tape (automotive use type--see your local body shop). Use 10-20 lb. fishing line or dental floss to "saw" it off. Place floss one one end and work your way down...it'll come right off. Soapy water may help to lube the line and help it cut through the tape. Use Goo Gone to remove the adhesive on the body and the molding, then use 3M tape to place it back on the fender.

Personally, unless you really need to replace it, leave it alone. ;-)

Keoni

In that case, soften the tape with a hair dryer or heat gun first
