I've had a bit of experience with CarFax, and this link is just as good. CarFax = waste of $, IMO.
CarFax does not guarantee their information (read the fine print). REally only good for checking when and where the vehicle was previously registered. I ran my cars on this link and didn't find any incorrect data with this service!

And just try to get errors off a report-- unpossible.
My S4 supposedly had an accident a week before I even bought it (brand new). Turns out it was my old car ('95 Passat)(and the reason I got the S4).
I did everything-- got the original police report, faxed them ALL the info. No dice. My S4 still shows it was wrecked before it even got off the boat.

Similar situation with mine - it shows an extended warranty issued (but of course this isn't true)
and I tried like hell to get it corrected - basically they don't care (unless it might result in some liability for them - but then they point to the CYA disclaimer...). They suck, IMO. The only good thing is that many people buying a used car value the info highly (so I use it when selling a car).
