if the next S4 is gonna be a V8 (which rumor mill seems to be pointing too..either that or a 3.0TT)..wouldn't it be nice to see if Audi could get the turbo plumbing/pipework/precat loaction right on the B6 platform (i'm assuming the engine bay is a bit larger and that Audi would ahve learned from the B5 S4) and add an even aportier supsesnion (i've heard the A4 3.0's is pretty good as is) than the 3.0's and a littl ejmore hp and torque...and we'd be good to go...plus it would be cheaper than anything with an S badge. anyone else think this would be a good strategy for audi/coinsumers??

I hear ya man....I'd change the suspension anyway...there's no way they could please us with a
perfect suspension....there's alot of old dudes out here that want comfy rides so they don't spill their morning coffees....what a waste...
If Audi is listening to you, they would have a huge sparked interest with us if they start plopping twin-turbos in again.

exactly...AND its not like it wouldn't make sense financially to do this
as you could extend the life of the 2.7T engines...as allroads and a6 2.7Ts are gonna be around for a while anyways i'm assuming. This strategey would make enthusiasts happy to no end. put it in the new chassis, make it robust, call it the a4 2.7T and the rest will take care of itslef (assuming no warranty problems if the new plumbing is robust)...bang make lots of money and makes enthusiasts happy(as non S4 would m ake it chepaer too)...hell stick an "S-line" badge on it if audi wants(lol)...that way they could go all out with the V8 S4 or the 3.0TT S4

nice ideas....i just have a feeling we won't be as happy as we are now with the B5's....
all performance aside, we have the BEST body style in my opinion. There's alot of people who want to squeeze out mass amounts of power, but we're relatively new right now with this motor...it would be nice to see the 2.7T stick around for a while so that we have an abundance of spare parts if necessary and tuners have half a chance to put together some decent packages together.
We'll see....bye bye turbos?

yup, the longer the engine is around the better the tuners will get at it
Also, i agree i like our body style better looking too...but have you seen teh new one on teh road in grey? not half bad and 10x better in person than in pics. also, the chassis is stiffer by a bunch too which probably means its road manners are improved. also, some of those body kits look nice. we'll see.
