Default You can keep the pads, unless they are Mintex or EBC. How much?
I am not going to make offers, just tell me how much you expect for them..

My stock fronts are 4sale.Calipers & discs. less than 500 miles on them

Default I would check with Stasis Engineering (Paul Lambert) to make sure they fit
There are numerous people that would sell theirs.

I wonder if they would be an upgrade from the 02 A4 brakes or a downgrade

Default I'm pretty sure they don't fit on an A4.
Brake kits have to be designed seperately for the A4 and S4... something about different uprights!?!
