APR chip question

APR chip question
I finally broke down and chipped my car yesterday at the NE event. APR chip, stock and stage 1 programs.
After getting about a hundred miles on the car running the stage-1 program, I have a couple questions for anyone in the know.
1) I seem to get the most power at about 50% throttle. Car accellerates like a bat out of hell (almost scary fast). Any more than that, and it really seems to slow down a lot.
Is this a throttle body adaption issue? I let the ECU adapt for several minutes after it was installed (and could hear it doing it on the engine), but I didn't explicitly run the adaption via a VAG tool. Could that explain the weirdness in response on the accellerator?
2) If thats the case, I can run an adaption on it, but what happens when you change from one program to the other? Do you have to redo it every time?

I did the adaptation via the VAG tool yesterday , seemed to help(m)
The car definitely seemed more eager to accellerate after doing it (though it could be my imagination) I didn't have much of a chance to go full throttle this morning (damn other cars on the road, who do they think they are?) but up through about 3/4 throttle seemed pretty linear<p>Chris

$550 for the springs, $250 for the install with an alignment.
I've gotten a number of different stories from places about it... I was told four hours labor by one company, eight or nine by another, and got prices ranging from $200 to $500 for the installation. Auto Design Haus told me they'd done it before, and that it took about five hours. I'm not sure if the $250 was a "show deal" or not.
