Default For the archives : It is VERY hard to break in a clutch with Stage 3 power

Got my Vast stg 2 clutch installed and running today. I totally forgot how easy driving this car can be. After almost 15K miles with my AWE stage 2 clutch, my left leg had become stronger than my right. The cartilage in my left knee had begun to wear. So far I've got 80 miles on and 420 to go . I've also de-modded, I replaced the AWE LWFW with a refinished oem from VAST. All in all, i've put back some of the luxury into the S and happy doing so.

The culprit to the engagement problem i was having were some bent teeth on the pressure plate. I'll post pics later.

Default Just use half-throttle and rev the engine up higher than you're used to doing...

...i.e., if you want to accelerate a bit, hold back on the throttle but take the rpms up to 5k, instead of just mashing the pedal all the way down and shifting at 3.5k.

What were your clutch engagement symptoms?

Default FYI - Piggie noticed that a certain batch of RS4 PP's were bad last fall...

and I got one of them. The last inch or so of travel before hitting the floor is difficult to push and spongy. Rarely, I can't get the car into gear. One or two others had this problem. Piggie says it was a factory issue. I can replace mine for free (but still pay labor). I'm just living with it. Not too bad.
