Default Article: RS4 coming to the States in 2004

In case it hasn't been posted yet:

Autoweek has an article stating that the RS4 is coming to the US! (see link below)

Short version:
RS4 in the States by 2004, powered by a bi-turbo 3L all-aluminum engine.

Y'all have a great day!

Default if that's true... WOW. :) Time to start saving!

I figure it'd probably have K04s or some other relatively high-flow turbos, as opposed to K03s... and if the S4 is 340hp, this would have to be over 400. Hmm... if it were basically a 3 liter version of a current RS4, you'd expect 420hp easily, right? And with that nice turbo torque curve :-)

Default Not exactly a definite....

Wording like "most likely be powered by a" makes me think that it's still pretty much up in the air as to what exactly the U.S. will see.

Default Henceforth, all RS models will be available in the U.S. via Len Hunt. They actually listened to the

feedback and aren't dumping turbos? Excellent market strategy. Time to drop a deposit. Anyone for a Bentley like powered twin turbo W12 RS8?

Default Yeah.

For the longest time the B6 S4 was rumored to be "most likely powered by" a biturbo 3.0 (sporting ~ 300hp) as well.

Default sign me up for a 2006.5 MY car!

hopefully this car will not put out over 425HP stock, and outhandle the new S4 too (aluminum 3.0 plus turbos chould be lighter than teh 4.2, right?)...now if they could get eh styling right and make it not astronomically expensive...see subject line!

by the way..i'd rather see the car come out as a 2005 as a 2006MY and have them fully FIX any problems before release!

Default I chatted with the guy at Petit LeMans...

we were down in the Joest paddock area after the trophy ceremony and he asked what we wanted to see in future cars. I told him we were pissed the new S4 was nonturbo, to which he replied "awww you just want to chip them..."

Damn straight, Lenny.
