...driving home today (at about 80-90 mph) I noticed in my rearview mirror a ~1996/7 Honda Civic hatchback keeping up with me. I was in the right lane and moved into the center lane to pass the car in front of me. I pulled back into the right lane, shifted into 4th, and hit the accelerator. To my disbelief the guy in the civic followed me and was able to match my acceleration (all the way to 135 mph). He was never able to pass me though. All I could notice was an extremely loud (and annoying) exhaust. Any ideas what he might have done to his car to keep up with me like that? (Im still stock.)

Was there fmic? Maybe a turbo I would think.

that's why you don't drive a stock s4 and try to get into races like this..you will get embarassed by some other familly cars also

Don't be surprised if you get ripped by a few first gen Neons as well. They weigh 2400lbs stock and there are many cheap srt4 take off turbo's and manifolds laying around =)

civic + gsr motor swap + beefy turbo + etc = < 20 grand and it'll run around 12 in the 1/4

A gsr or ls/vtec swap would have beat a stock s4 no problem. No need for a turbo to beat a stock s4
