Default Asking a Favor of CT area AW'ers....

Hello All,

I'm trying to decide on a suspension upgrade for my car, so...

Could I impose on a few of you with modded suspensions to donate "test rides"? I'm trying to avoid buying and installing something that ends up being too low, too harsh, etc. for my tastes.

If you're willing to drive me over your nearest bumpy road, please drop me an email or post a reply here. Obviously, I'd meet you whenever and wherever is convenient for you. I live in Middlebury and work in Danbury, but my schedule is pretty flexible and I'll take a drive, so please let me know.

Thanks,

Tony

Default Did you check BostonAudi for Get togethers?

There were 2-3 dozen S4s at the last GTG

http://forums.bostonaudi.org</a

Default Good idea. I'll be on the lookout for GTG's in the area, but...

I'd still be game to meet up with anyone willing before. Maybe I can have the new suspension installed for the next GTG!

Default You could ride in mine if Brian can get my install done next week...

but the suspension set-up will be very similar (if not identical) to Brian's car less the Neuspeed 22mm. But Im doing some brake work too

Default Sure, no problem.

I live in Simsbury and work in Killingworth CT. I asked the same question a couple years back and was afforded the chance to drive a chipped A4, now its my turn to repay the favor. I have a 99.5 A4 tqm, MTM stage II with Neuspeed Bilsteins (netural perch setting), Neuspeed sport springs and the Neuspeed 19mm rear swaybar. For wheels I have 2001 A8 5 spokers (17" x 8") with SO3's.

Handling = Great, similar to my 90 300 ZX. (similar - not exact, better in some ways, worse in others - not much)
Look = Wheels, tires, and drop are perfect (maybe a little more drop in the back would be good).
Ride = Perfect, not too harsh, flat and level in the corners.

Overall,... I feel like I'm in astronaut training when I'm in rotories (circles for non-New Englanders). I finally got some drift today (about 10 minutes ago), had to push pretty hard.

Why so long before I got on it?... I had the suspension installed on Wed., gimme a break.

Just so you know, I'm on the conservative side of needs. I drive 100mi per day and comfort is a factor. I did'nt want a slammed look and I did'nt want to stand out in a crowd. All go with very little show.

Send me an email at bpaterson@pharmedica.com if you're interested.
