ATTN: Those that have or are planning on buying Flik Justice wheels!!!
I recently had my car washed by hand in Charlotte, NC while I was there for a wedding. I noticed right after they wash the car that the rims had something black on them, upon further inspection it was the clear coat missing & paint rubbing off. All 4 of the rims had considerable amount of clear coat coming off and 1 had quite a bit of paint & clear coat missing. Now these rims are only about 5months old and I keep them very clean and do not use any harsh chemicals on them!
Well the place that wash it is going to pay for the replacement of the rims. And Edge Racing was giving them/me a excellent price for the replacement. But my question is and I had brought it up to Edge Racing. Wouldn't something like this be covered under some kind of warranty? I mean if wheels cannot take a little Simple Green and High Pressure wash, which is pretty much an industry standard way of washing wheels, then there is definately something wrong.
Edge Racing told me that "whatever type/kind of liguid they used, sat on the rims and cause the problem". And I agree that's what "caused" it, but I think they should stand up a little better than that. Although I have NEVER had any problem with the rims up until they washed it. So without me "knowing" exactly what they used, then I would just let people know that have Flik rims to be very careful when washing your wheels. Like I said I've never had a problem because all I use on the rims is Dawn dishwashing liquid. Here's only 1 picture for now, cause Audiworld pix poster upload keeps failing when I try to upload more pix.

I am not having a problem with mine..

I know they were on back-order for a while. Maybe they rushed this batch of wheels, and did not do the necessary quality checks.

That's why I got mine. I'm just letting people know what could happen..
I think they are great looking rims and have no problem with Edge Racing. My point I was trying to make was that I would think that no matter how inexpensive they were they should be able to handle some standard washing.

Use Dawn for dishes and Car Wash Soap for your Car
Unless you are using Lemon Scented dishwashing liquid specifically to remove the wax from your car - because that is what it does.
