Audi CV boots are terrible...

Just lost an inner one at 85K miles. The outers were replace at about 50K. What the heck!

yeah...both of my outers went out...

Had them fixed this week...

maybe that siberian looking weather cracked the rubber!

J/K.. I can't believe the inners went bad since that end doesn't get much bending.

Had outer CV joints repaired at 53 k miles...

I would feel better if they had lasted a few New England winters with salt, etc.

...but this car has been in San Diego its entire life. I'm wondering if the replacement ones are any better. Make's think about trying a boot from a different maker to find one that fit and lasted longer.

Could be something besides the rubber though. Maybe the quattro system puts more strain on it.
