I just wanted to get some idea from the rest of you guys out their about your S4's. I have had mine for less than half-a-month. And so far its been fun, but I have noticed that the S4 isn't as much of a sleeper as I thought it was. I've had people checking out the car in parking lots and ask questions. People pointing and looking at intersections. Cars keeping pace with me on the freeway while looking at the car. The one reason I didn't go for an M3 was because its an obviously fast car. I guess I erred in judgement on this one, the S4 gets a load of looks all the time. I am considering removing the two S4 badges. More than not, a person casually looks at the car. They see the badge, do a double-take and tell the others in the car. The others in the car will turn around a look over and stare. Again, not isolated, these people are everywhere.

Both times I was in San Diego recently - down in Pacific Beach, actually - I got a few double-take looks, and a few "oh, **** - an S4" comments that I could hear from passers-by...

the only really memorable instance was when a teenager with his girlfriend stopped behind me at a light. he looked at the s4. paused. did a double-take, said something to his girlfriend and then both of them proceeded to crane over the steering wheel/dash to peer at the s4 badge. ^_^ it was pretty hilarious.

other than that, i don't think anyone around here knows what the hell i'm driving. nogaro gets some attention, but other than that they must think a funky blue a4 is all....<p>Peace.

I was driving down highway 1 in CA from SF to Santa Cruz, and crusied by a convertible mustang in one of the passing lanes, glanced in the mirror, and I could see the driver mouth to his friend "What the F--- was that???". That put a nice grin on my face (although I already had one for the past hour or so as this was during my first day with the car)<p>2001 S4
