Default Avant owners: Does Audi have a fix-kit for the license plate "nuts" that fall into the door?......

One of these "nuts" that's embeded in the plastic door insert has come loose and fallen inside the door. I thought I recalled someone saying that Audi had a kit that they install under warranty to resolve this issue. Does anyone know of this and what the Audi P/N of the kit might be? Or also, where are the TBB's? and are any on this topic?

Thank God, I thought I was the only one with this problem. Please post if there is a fix.

Default Sort of happened with me....

....one of mine had come loose, but it hadn't yet fallen into oblivion. I was able to grab it with needle-nose pliers and stick it back in the proper spot. I tried to bend the tabs to keep it from falling in again, and so-far, so-good.

Had it fallen in, I was figuring I'd have to remove that entire plate trim piece...wasn't looking forward to that.

Remind me to never remove my plate. Even for waxing. :-\

Default yeah, same thing - saved it once and reused - then got a new plate & it fell again

now the opening is just too big for it to stay in place such that I can get any threads started.

I've removed mine but never had any problems. Knock on wood.

Default I just fixed mine this last weekend!!

seems to me that the most important thing (as mentioned in the TSB) is to not push them through by using a spacer if you don't have a license plate frame otherwise, they ft pretty tight and I wouldn't expect them to fall out without help (or using the wrong size bolts would screw things up too.)
