Avant sunroof wind noise problem

Default Avant sunroof wind noise problem
With the sunroof completely open the wind howl is unbearable at 40-45 mph. Cracking a window helps. My '99 A4 Avant has a different wind baffle than the '01 S4 (it has more of a waffle look) and I have never had any howl at any legal speed. Any one else with this obsevation?

Close the sunroof by 1 or 2 clicks and the sound will mostly go away.

Same issue in sedan. 1 click works great.

Just leave the sunroof one click shy of fully open. Nominal difference in open area, but no noise.

Default Read the manual about this.. it's in there... there is bigger indent about 1-2 clicks from full open
and that will get rid of most noise and buffeting.

Default Ironically, this info was also included in the "letter" that talked about
low profile tires, etc.
