AWE stage 3 S4 owners, please raise your hands.

dip immediately follows the ramp up spike.
thing is, you may have room to come back up. The more extreme the dip, the more extreme the post dip rise looks.
some cars seems to ramp it back up pretty agressively, but its ALWAYS from the MAF signal coming up after 5k to hp peak (6k+)
remember, ME7.1 is LOAD BASED!! if you want an mbc like boost curve, use an mbc.
if a non-mbc car is MAF happy, you may well get a rise post 5k.
whether or not this is 'bad' is the question.
also, a rise post 5k may actually get you better efficiency if your dip was agressive enough.
If 1.3bar is ok at redline, why not aim for it? especially if your IATs are cool and you've got good MAF numbers.

Hands raised. In cool temps, that jives with what I see...
...it seems that I won't go over about 16-17psi except from about 5500 to redline when the weather is in the 60's or below.

I think it did that on all octanes and was one reason for the code with the "dip" in boost...
...I seem to recall the earlier AWE software I had a few years ago didn't feature the dip, but timing would to go to crap and the car would feel dog slow from about 4000-4500rpm in warm weather.

That is what I saw this morning...
It was about 50F at 1100 feet elevation and clear weather. My boost gauge seemed to match watch was recorded.
In all, this looks like what I was expecting the AWE Stage 3 curve to look like from what I had gathered. It seems typical to spike to about 21 PSI, drop to about 19 PSI and climb back to 20+ PSI.
However, this was lower than what I saw yesterday afternoon (spike to about 23 PSI, dropped to about 20 PSI and climbed back up between 21 - 22 PSI).
The below charts are from this morning.
