Default B&M ss - will it 'break in?'
I just had one of these installed and although it's an improvement over stock, the actual effort to shift is greater than expected. Is this charecteristic of the B&M (and other short shifters)? Can I do anything to reduce the resistance?

Default You'll "break-in" ;) You shorten the throw, you increase the effort.
You'll get used to it though.

When you decrease the throw, you also decrease the leverage, requiring more effort to shift
