I did but didn't find anything conclusive.
Seeing as your response was so definitive have you tried this yourself or know anyone who has? Can you shed any more light on this?
Hoping for info that might lead to a solution, identify the specific problem preventing the swap, or a clear cut reason that it's not possible.

I havent found any thing conclusive either, but I think you would just need new brackets from Recaro
Silver B6/B7 Recaros are on my wish-list.
You might be able to contact recaro about their OEM offering shown <a href="http://www.recaro.com/index.php?id=2640®ion=3&L=2">here</a> and see if they have a bracket that will work.

i know someone who tried...
from what they told me it didnt line up... im not sure if they ever did anything further with racing seat brackets or anything, but stock for stock it didnt fit.
