Default

in that case, I'd say get new ignition amplifiers and see if it goes away - simple to try to fix.

Default those are expensive, like $200 a pop, and you need 2 of them! someone might have a spare one laying

around? for testing? before spending 4 bills? just a thought

Default do you still have the stock airbox?

I always wondered if the ignition amplifiers get overheated when people remove the stock airbox and just mount them in the engine bay. They have heat sink fins in the stock airbox to cool them.

Default If it's that bad, I would probably pressure test and do a complete visual top

and bottom side.

Hopefully you will find something.

Default they heat sink to a metal plate on the airbox - might want to try using a better heat sink.

you could probably pick up something decent and cheap at a computer supply place.

Default If the voltage leaks out between the plug boot and the porcalin insulator, it etches the porcalin.

That etch makes a conduction path. It's typically called carbon tracing and looks like someone took a pencil and drew a line down the side of the plug. In the early stages it isn't visible. That's why I recommended replacing those 2 plugs.

Default I think if it were something obvious he'd pick up on it...

With other folks, yea... I'd go the step by step approach.
