Default Big Topic on injectors. If I pull 18% on RS4 injectors that flow 481cc at 4 Bar, then what are my

actual flow numbers? Would it be better to use a 3 BAR FPR and turn up the amounts versus pulling on a 4 Bar?

Default Well, I'm trying to figure out how much pulling 18% really is, it can't be as simple as

.18 * 481. That would make the flow less than a 3 BAR FPR with no Lemmiwinks changes. There has to be a problem with running the HOMEBREW Stage 3 cars or we wouldn't have misfires. IF GIAC runs lean at idle and rich up top, how can we adjust the fueling as to be able to never have misfires and have a nice WOT AFR.

Default rs4 maf + rs4 injectors + x chip should run good with NO lemmi changes .

that's why i asked you what you want to do .
make sure you check the system well before you do any changes.
mine was always running rich and pulled a lot of fuel .. and the problem was not the injectors .. it was the samco TBB & the main clamp.

if you have misfires also check the orientation of the injectors .. that is important .

Default Do you have cold start misfires? Maybe everyone should run the RS4 MAF

instead of the Hitachi Sensor in the RS4 housing?

Default Oh hell no.

RS4 injectors are 480ish cc/min @ 4bar. I am currently running 38# Delphi injectors @ 4bar (460ish cc/min) and already pulling 20% primary to get a solid WOT AFR in the mid to high 11s. If I were to switch to RS4's, I'd probably need to pull the maximum of 25% in order to keep the AFR in mid 11s.

Default Oh is he talking sensor or housing? RS4 sensor reads different than S4, have seen it cause problems

on some Homebrew X chip cars. By problems, I mean the idle was all messed up with RPMs bouncing and WOT AFR curve was a bit funky. It seems that the RS4 sensor and S4 sensor have different voltage vs g/s curves...although I'm still waiting to see if Minhea/Nye can confirm this.

Hey Doc, how much less than 460cc do you think you are flowing with 20% pulled?.

Default I don't believe it is as easy as multiplying percentage by base flow.

That would mean you were flowing 394.42 cc/min and I'm flowing 365.7 cc/min.
