Default Big turbo problems with my S4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2000 S4 and in the last 10 months I have had it, the turbos have been replaced 3 friggin times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going on number 4 right now @ Beverly Hills Audi. I am very tired of this **** anyone got this kind of problem???? By the way I drive my car pretty chill only pushing it at night when its cold weather, letting it cool down for about five minutes after I drive it hard, 3 minutes if I drive chill. . . The cars under warranty so the work is free, but its the hassle of taking it in and then having to wait a week to get it back. Plus for refernce my car is completely stock it only has 26400 original miles, only 6000 miles this year, only local driving, and mobile 1 full synthetic every 2500 miles.

Default Lemon that sucker.

If it's still stock, that car is a lemon. Look into your local laws and have AoA buy it back or replace it (with what, I'm not sure...). Or be balsy and tell 'em to put K04s in this time instead. Try taking it to a new shop, the dealership may be doing sub-par installs causing them to fail repeatedly. My turbos blew 5,000 miles after new ones were put in. I'm also on my 4th set, but I'm going full stage 3 now, no more bs.

Default what kind of things can go wrong during an install?

I have heard several people mention that they felt like thier turbos went out due to a sloppy install. I replaced my own with K04s a few weeks ago. having been through the process the only install issues could be dropping something into the turbos themselves, which I think would become apparent right after the first start up. I just can't imagine what kind of carlessness could not be an issue for 5000 miles or several months. they only go one one way.

Default One could kink an oil line or could have....

...a coked oil line that's not replaced, not install the oil/coolant lines correcty and have a leak.

One could not get the piping installed correctly and have a large air leak. Plus, the FOD that you mentioned. There's really endless possibilties of what could go wrong.

Default Lemon it... There is something wrong, bad oil passage. Even if you beat on them, they should (more)

Even if you beat on them, they should not be dying THAT quickly....
Either something is wrong with the engine causing the turbos to die or the mechanic keeps fudging something up....
I bet it has something to do with the oil channel going to your turbos.

Re: Either that or I'd guess possibly high oil pressure.
