So my insurance company agreed - my hood has been keyed and will have to be repainted I might just try touch-up paint first and see how that looks - can't make it any worse if the whole thing needs to be redone.

I've heard the body shop at Clair is pretty good. Anyone else had any repainting done around here? Anyone had there hood done? (anywhere) I had a new hood put on my old Volvo 850 and it looked pretty good in daylight, but at night under certain light is looked cloudy & "splotchy". I think I'd rather have a scratch than that again...

Also, I'm thinking that resale value will drop if I get anything repainted. Thoughts? Should I ask for more compensation from insurance?

you have to wait a while (like a month) before they take your car in. I had a small acident recently and I brought my car to SubUrban Auto Body in Needham. They did a amazing job !! Color matching is perfect (I think this is crucial for a hood job).

They just moved to a huge warehouse.....This is a brand new state of the art facility. I was given a complimentary tour of the place, and was AMAZED. They have 3 ovens, and various other high-tech equipment. They use authentic "Spekker" i think is the name of the paint. This is what AUDI uses. I only had some minor bumper work done, but they are AMAZING. Speak to Bruce. A great guy. Tell him Herc sent ya, and you will get a smile.....He wants to bubble rap my car so i will stop going there for minor scratched....LOL
