Is the Borla much louder than Milltek?
I finally listened to a Milltek in person and I was suprised that I considered it TOO quiet. I'm not looking for a loud deafening exhaust, but it seemed like the Milltek was completely quiet like stock. I'm looking for something with just a little more bite than Milltek.
Recommendations? Cheapest source for these exhausts?

Is Borla at the volume where Wives complain or even notice?
If I stay off the hard throttle, is it much louder than stock? My main note about Milltek was that under WOT, it still sounded quiet.

Its louder than stock under all conditions. Has a nice low idle, runs quiet under
daily driving, sounds great when flogging it... is louder than the Milltek under all curcumstances though. The wife will notice however, I would say it is about 1/2 the way between stock and a UUC or other single resonator system. It is very enjoyable and quite comfortable overall... I spend as many as 380 mi a day sometimes in my car and find that I don't even notice it for the most part.
Best part is going under overpasses or in tunnels with all windows down and WOT in 3rd gear. Think it is just right. Actually I am hoping mine will get a little louder with LaBrees and Stg3 running resonated testpipes in a few mos =-)

Milltek is definitely louder than stock.
I drove a friend's car with stock exhaust and I wasn't sure if the car was on or not when I got in (it actually was) because I couldn't hear anything from the exhaust.

Sounds like an awesome setup coming. You recommend the Borla?
I was hoping for stealth so that I don't get complaints from my Wife, but after listening to the Milltek, it's too quiet because I enjoy going under overpasses and tunnels as well.

I like the Borla better. My Milltek cost more and was not
as good build-wise. It leaked from just about every junction, and you have to grind off the tranny brace nub so it doesn't rub, and the rear canister made it look like an Accord muffler and and and and... welded the d@mn thing solid... did not like it.
Have had my Borla(s) for 3+ yrs now and still think it is one of the best ones out there.
