Default Bought a 2001 Theft Recovery S4 Got Some Issues Please Read With Pics

Alright so i got a 2001 S4 With Silver Trim and Suades. The car was equiped with a Viper Alarm System. I removed the alarm system because the remote that came with the car wouldnt work and disengage the alarm. Now Once that is done i can actually crank the engine. Here are the problems. I can Crank the Motor BUT the 1.fuel pump doesnt turn on 2.The Throttle Body Doesnt Work. 3 I Cant connect into the ECU with my VAG-COM 3013 and even VAG-COM wont identify the car as OBDII Compatible cant conenct with it at all.. 4. The Fuel Pressure Regulator doesnt make any sounds at all when i turn the key. I removed all of the alarm system but still got some brown wires left which are really small. Also Under the Drivers Side Door Trim i have found about 4 Brown wires goign into 1 brown wire looks like someone has done it themself. The pic is attached. If Anyone has any ideas please let me knwo i need to get this car started so i know the engine is good and it can go to the body shop.

I believe brown is the "ground" on these cars.....you need a wiring diagram STAT.

well maybe the person who stole it cut the ground hoping to disarm the alarm???

fuel pump relay controls all of that.

That's definitley a cut ground wire.....

Default Kinda ironic that it's a Theft Recovery and now you can't start it

Some alarms have relays built into them - when wiring up the alarm, a wire (like starter or fuel pump) is cut and both sides of the cut are connected to the alarm wiring and go into the alarm to the relay. This way, if the alarm is disconnected, these wires remain disconnected and it doesn't allow starting of the car.

This may or may not be how yours is wired.

Sounds like you need to find the wiring diagram for the fuel pump relay and see where it is, or is not, getting power.

Default was that capped ? look under the rear seat .. you will see more of those ends (factory)

i'd say get another ecu and try it ..something doesn't sound good about theone you have.

who knows, could be as simple as running those brown wires to a ground.

Alright i just took my ecu out and connected it into my friends car 2000 S4 and i got a connection and the ecu reads. On my car i cant even get a OBD II Connection into the car What else can be doing this?

Default PROBLEM SOLVED THANSK FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE But got a power seat questions

Problem Solved!!! Had water under the carpet and there was a short in the wiring. took all the water out and a few minutes after it dried up the computer conencted with VAG-Com. Also have a question my drivers side seat goes up and down tilts the back BUT wont move forward or back even the lumbar works. Any idea??
