know the larger 1.8t filter is actually cheaper, not sure if everyone knew this.

i must say i am blesssed, there is a euro autoparts stroe 2 towns away form me and i get the german 0w-30 and mann filters there

I also picked up some lubri moly injector cleaner whil i was there. i love this euro store. i even asked em about ko4 turbos lol

1.8t's had low oil pressure and produced sludge so they switched to a larger oil filter and more oil to build up oil pressure.

i have not changed my oil yet but hopefully the larger oil filter will not hit anything upon installation, i dont think it will but ive yet to try. i have heard people on here talk about larger filters so perhaps this is it.

i can see why the larger one is cheaper, since theres alot more 1.8t driving around.
