Brakes for Stage 3 car
Is the ECS Stage 3 kit a total waste for street use on a soon-to-converted Stage 3 car?
Archives aren't too kind on the kit. Always felt like I could with more "bite" even when just chipped, don't know if this would help.
Also, I was suprised yesterday when I took in my "not so old" front rotors in for machining (ready for new HPS pads) and was told they were shot. Should one just go with the "stick with stock rotors and change them often plan"?
Thanks,

if its a street car and you just drive around, i dont see a point in it...
just get a great set of pads and rotors... youll be fine... however, if youre tracking... or autocross, street race or plan to... then yes it is a wise purchase considering the price... if money isnt an issue... alcon. lastly ecs stageIV is just huge and some may even say overkill.
also limits your choices in wheels...

DBA 4000's
Haven't had a chance to track the car yet but the DBA 4000's (slotted only) and Pagid Ultimate pads seem to be alright for the street. Took a little while for them to bed in properly and the squealing to go away but they're up to the task for semi-aggressive street driving. Halting the car from 200+ km/h is another story though...they're definitely not gonna be up to track duty standards.
