Default Bro in law got a ride in a modded rs4 in Germany last week

supposedly (I say that cause this is the story I am getting) the thing puts out 480HP!!! on custom modded turbos. The turbos also have electic motors on them to reduce or more like eliminate lag, so does anyone see a potential problem with this?

Default I don't think that the electric motors are real

not possible. The lag is minimal already anyway. The 480hp number is VERY realistic though.

Default + the heat factor at the turbo would fry up most electrics also how would you disengage when the

spooled to its max rpm if the motor was indirectly attached ie shaft etc.?

Just think of the design of a turbo...where would you possibly put a motor?

Default Here's an electrically assisted turbo (but not in any RS4)

Saab is under testing stages on their new turbo with an electric motor that eliminates lag.

Perhaps widen the gap between the turbine and the impeller and put the motor on the shaft b/t the 2?

That shaft/bearing area is where the most stress is put on the turbo. I doubt a motor could take it.
