Broke timing belt (28k miles after replacing at 70k). Ideas for what's next...?

ask to look at the old belt, see what brand it is and how the cond it looks like, if it was done 28k
ago it should look pretty new besides the break, thats not very common for a new timing belt to break

Thanks for the tip. I'll have a look at it, although the car is 150 miles away now.
Either way I'll have to pick it up and I don't think I'm going to have it fixed at the dealership simply because the cost is just too much. Had to pay $660 for a leak down test! I'm at their whim right now though since it's stuck in the boonies.

yeah somethings not right there...
this would be the first OEM parts failure ive ever heard of... which it isnt impossible, id just look into it.
