Default bt: stasis 4:1

for those of you who have this 'mod'... have you noticed a substantial improvement in handling/cornering etc.? secondly, would you say it would be worth it for a car that never sees the track?

http://www.stasisengineering.com/Category_Detail.aspx?id=9&YR=2001&MK=Audi& amp;EN=51&PID=98</a

Default IMO one of the best 550 you can spend on this car. Really gets the rear to come around.

Rear sway and good (not just stiff) suspension are a mandatory compliment to the CD.

Default Oh, and I've yet to track my car, so yes it is great for the street.

Be aware of a slight grumbling on low speed u-turns...parking.

Default when you say grumbling, is it noticeable to passengers...or effect the driveability

at low speeds?

Default It is noticeable to me, but I'm hyper sensitive to car noises.

It only happens when you're doing a sharp low speed u-turn. It's not a big deal IMO, but Stasis does not admit that it is there. Basicly its the diff doing its thing. No odd noises during regular driving.

Default is it like a gears grinding sound???

i understand its difficult to describe a sound with words on the internet, but im just trying to see how bad it is, since i am a real stickler when it comes to noise/sound etc.

Default i love mine, its not noticable until you really start cornering hard

definetly helps with spirited driving, lets you use the rear wheels more. for 550 its a steal. I havent bit the bullet on the lsd yet but tempted

Default Its more of a growl, rocks in a bucket but very subdued. No big deal

as only VERY rarely do I do U turns. I think it's a non issue really. No more annoying than a stiff suspension. Get a ride in a car with one and see for yourself. I'm in So. Ca. if ya want to hear it.
