Bubble on the right front wheel tire
#4
Jim, it IS covered under Bridgestone warranty; you just dealt with *******s and didn't get very far
Unfortunately it is a prorated warranty (based on treadwear) with credit given toward the purchase of a new tire, which are quite obscenely priced. I have 4 RE040's just taken off of my car that I am trying to get rid of (but only 1 in great condition -- it was originally the spare tire). If you strike out, let me know.

Jim, mine was covered, more..
I had the same problem you did, remember? Well the *******s at Bridgestone retail shop were useless, but this guy at Discount Tire went to bat, and got me a new tire.
I wound up ordering 5 S02 PP's since one of the tires had to be Bridgestone. So, theoretically, I paid for 4 1/2 tire (since the flawed tire was prorated 50%).Now I know that Jim will see pigs fly before putting any Bridgestones on any of his vehicles, but I thought they don't rave about the S02's for nothing.
I also bought Road hazard warranty from the Firestone dealer that just installed them today so I wouldn't have to go through any crap.
The warranty ran $160 for all 5 tires. Stupid me, after I left Firestone, I thought that it would be possible just to buy warranty for 2 tires, or even just 1, and if something happens, then switch out the tire with the warrantied one. Oh well.
I'll be watching these tires. Bridgestone's record will be influenced by the quality of this tire (versus the 040's) and their service.
My advice is take a lot of pictures, and use the search function on this forum for "bubble" or Jim's name and arm yourself with as much paper as possible.
