Default Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Eibach springs and MTM/Eibach springs?

Am I going to pay over $300 more dollars just to buy them from Hoppen? Serious question, just wondering if there is a difference and if so, whatdoes my extra $300+ get me? Looking to buy sometime this summer, so any help would help!

Thanks!

Default They *are* different ...

Eibach ProKit spring rates are similar to the stock springs, MTM/Eibach are something like 2x stiffer (I forget specific rates off hand, but the MTMs are in the 400-500 lb range).

Plus, the ProKits are more of a universal application, being used on a range of vehicles based on spring rate and fit, not necessarily on vehicle-specific characteristics.
The MTM/Eibachs, on the other hand, were developed specifically for the S4/S4A taking into account all of those things ... the S4's chassis design, weight and balance, handling characteristics, vehicle dynamics, etc. MTM (supposedly) worked in conjunction with Audi and Eibach to develop their spring specs.

Maybe I have bad info. I have an old chart that someone put together that lists several different spring/shock combo rates & this is what they have for the stock. It could be wrong but it is very close to the Eibachs which sounds right. The Eibachs are supposed to be about as soft as stock until you push them then they firmn up.
