can i take my s4 motor and use an a4 shell?
hey guys...... i have a 2000 s4 6 speed that i unfortunatly got a little wrecked i just bought another audi.... 2000 a4 5 speed 1.8t i was wondering if i could swap my s4 motor over to this new a4 i just bought or would it be easier to take the a4 and fix the s4 with it????????

This question gets asked every couple of months in various forms. The short answer is that yes, it is possible to swap motors from a b5 s4 into a b5 a4.
However, it is way easier and cheaper to simply buy a used S4 in working condition rather than to try and drop the s4 motor into a different chassis.
