Can you use a cooper tubing kit instead of a nylon one when installing a boost gauge?

Can you use a cooper tubing kit instead of a nylon one when installing a boost gauge?
I just got by vdo gauge in the mail and I ordered a cooper one instead. The instructions only show a nylon one for instaling from the vacuum.
