Default Car Alarm keeps going off! Turn it off, walk away, goes off again!! WTF?

turned off the internal motion sensor, still happened. Not windy, so that's not the problem, and I'm not accidentally pressing the panic button.

Can't be a low remote battery since a co-worker came in to tell me it was going off.

any ideas?

Default I had a similar problem with my Golf...

It turns out the hood switch bracket was slightly bent down. So, the switch was barely making contact with the hood. Every time a truck drove by, the hood vibration would trigger the alarm. I simply bent the bracket up a bit and solved the problem.

I don't know if our S4's have a similar bracket, but might be worth looking into.

vag the internal locking module, it will tell you what sensor is triggering the alarm
