Default Car feels slightly sluggish at times, at other times pulls nicely

Car is stock. Not making any strange noises.

Just feels down on power once in a while.

Thoughts?

Default Possibly heat soak or a boost leak that comes and goes or.....

something else.

Id recommend scanning for codes (likely wont find anything) and then logging blocks 003 and 115 and [whatever the block for IAT is]...or maybe just 115 and [IAT]. Perhaps you will be able to tell whats going on when the power disappears.

Default I've considered heatsoak. But power loss sometimes occurs on highway where there is good airflow

Also noticed same problem in the winter during very cold temps.

Default sorry

There is no way to say for sure or eliminate any possibilities until you log with VAG.

Default Re: coolent temp sensor

My car was running weak and strong, then one day i threw a CEL, and found it was the coolant temp sensor, replaced it with the new green one and she runs strong again, scan the ECU, but if you have the old black temp senor i would still replace it, it is 24.00 from ECS and it is located behiend the right hand side clyinder head, 10 min job to replace

Will have the car scanned this week at my local shop.

Plugs are 40k kms old (about 20 months)
