CEL and VAG codes -= need advice

The newly replaced front O2s are genuine Bosch OEM components. Just plugged them in.
What's odd is that my first set of codes did not flag the fronts. The second set did.
From my extensive googling of these codes, I'm seeing everything from an intaake leak to a leaky exhaust as root cause. I pressure tested the intake side and sucked on the 710N valve ports and everything seems tight there, so I'm going to have to look into the exhaust side of things now, I guess (at least for the rear codes).
Do you think that new cats would help the rear codes?
