Default Center--of-the-dash mounted 3-gauge instrument pod idea. Anyone want to build it?

I'm thinking of a 3-gauge (or even 4) "pod" that would sit on the center of the dash right in front of defogger vents. It would be countored so that it when viewed from the side, it would be wedge shaped, with the tip of the wedge on the dash at the the front of the defogger vents. The surface with the gauge faces would be base of the wedge. The sides of the "pod" would slope down from the top in a curve to meet with the dash. This would give us a way to have a boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, exhaust gas temperature gauge, and possible one more (charge air intake temperature, ignition timing, I don't know). Perhaps even the "pod" could be affixed to the dash through the defogger vents so that the dash isn't ruined by the pod. This way the pod might even be removable. Who would want something like this? Who thinks that someone could affordable make something like this?

Default Well, the basic idea, but not quite like that...

...there's a lot of dash area in the S4, and I'm thinking of something as small as you could really make it, as well as closer to the windshield, so as to not be so intrusive into the cabin space, and probably all matt-black finished on the surface, but otherwise yeah, like that.

Default I can get these done in brushed or anodized black aluminum or carbon fiber faceplate!

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/2711/angle_interior.jpg">3 gauges will fit but, i could also delete a gauge and make a vent! I should have pics of the real carbon fiber faceplate within a week...the interior looks incredible when lit at night very functional placement of the gauges also...

Default Do you know that it can reach 110 down here in the summer...

...deleting even one vent seems totally ludicrous to me. Sometimes I wish I had 3 MORE vents than I have!

Default i just use defrosters and center vents--no loss of cooling effect..

blocking off one area causes more pressure elsewhere...

Default What would be cool....

Would be if someone got with Jim De Ares to build something like the Skyline data readout. That would be pretty damn sweet.
