Default #1 response to CE light on a modern car is...

check the fuel cap. If it's tight, take it to the dealership and have them PRESSURE check the fuel cap.

99% of CE lights are gas caps and they DO fail and even smart dealers sometimes tear the car apart because they didn't check that the cap is sealing properly.

Default did I mention my Bosch seatbelt sensors were replaced in the 996?...

aparently some of these things fail getting the car off the truck. You get a frightening Airbag light but it's actually a simple sensor in the seatbelt mechanism and both seats have to be removed and the units replaced.

Bosch isn't German for "Lucas" is it? ;-)
