I have both the Passport 7500 and the V1 (I'm a gadget guy)

and I can honestly say the V1 is far superior. It's not that the Passport is not any good (in fact IMHO it's an excellent unit for the money) it's that the V1 is that much better...

V1 all the way...

Wrong. I had a V1 for my '90 4Runner that could barely do 90....(more)

On top of that, I'm only 23 and can't afford to get any tickets or my insurance will pop extremely. Can't wait for the 25 year old insurance drop. Put it this way, my 4runner was only worth $3000, yet I bought a $400 detector to protect my lead-foot behind. It was worth the investment, saved me on the Dallas Tollway at least 6 times (which is impressive considering the hills).
