Default Well...

First, when I got the chip the car ran great for a number of hundreds of miles, then just turned off driving down the highway, and wouldn't turn on for 2 days. Dealer got it, turned it on, and it worked perfectly. Fast forward a month, suddenly I'm driving and the CEL comes on...power drops off, and the engine settles into this terrible rough idle from 1100-1400 rpm, jumpin all over the place, absolutely no throttle control. I think great, broken car. Before I can bring it to the dealer though, I order a stock ECU. plug that in, car works PERFECTLY. ah, must have been a loose pin or something. put the chipped ECU back in, right back to **** mode. tried this 3 times with various circumstances over a month, same result every time. send ECU back, they check it out for a third of a year, and tell me everything is fine, but just to humor me they put a new chip in my ECU. I get it back, and miraculously, it works again! Another few hundred miles later, bam, right back to the exact same **** more. I knowingly pull out the stock ecu, switch it out, and it runs fine again. Fun huh. Anyways, GIAC says I have a bad throttle sensor or something, because that is the code that gets thrown when it goes to **** mode, among others. Seems kinda odd that a broken part would work fine with a stock ECU...but whatever. I'm giving this one more try, then I'm making 'em buy the whole damn thing back and try a differant chip with fingers crossed. Ain't that some ****?

Default your logic is flawed, try unplug chiped ecu and plug it back. or the ECU might be bad.

either way, good luck.
